Wetlands are the fastest disappearing habitat.  Turtles are long-lived and slow to reproduce, making them an interesting subject for gauging wetland health and long-term restoration efforts.  In partnership with the TRCA, this series of studies examines:
  • Population demographics of restored and created wetlands in the Greater Toronto Area
  • Colonization vectors and inter-wetland movement patterns
  • Micro habitat use
  • Overwintering patterns
